Appropriate for dancers of all experience levels.
Beginners Welcome
Sorry, event is sold out.
Contact Improvisation
can be a magical, mutually connecting, incredibly nourishing movement form.
Contact Improvisation for Health and Longevity
Some elements of the workshop will be:
♦ Becoming more aware of subtlety and comfortable with doing less
♦ Exploring how to use partnering on the floor as a foundation for nuanced unfolding communication, palpable connection into the core & reciprocal release of tension in our bodies
♦ Refining awareness of structural alignment so weight can travel efficiently and easily through the fluid architecture of the bones
♦ A deep, felt understanding of the basic physical principles and vocabulary that help build the foundation for Contact Improvisation
♦ Growing our capacity for response-ability and delight at our learning edges
LOCATION:
The Dance Complex, 536 Massachusetts Av, Cambridge
On the MBTA Red Line, Central Sq stop
