ARTISTS BIOS:
Jeff Bliss: Jeff danced professionally with Betty Jones and with Liz Lerman/Dance Exchange for over 10 years. As a member of Group 6 (with Chris Aiken, Nancy Stark Smith, Ray Chung, Julie Carr, and Peter Bingham) Jeff explored composition and performance issues in contact improvisation. For six years Jeff was artist-in-residence at the Children’s Hospital National Medical Center and for 9 years he was a national training artist for the Wolftrap Institute. Jeff was on the summer faculty of Naropa University and served as senior program manager at the Lincoln Center Institute in New York City for 9 years. He still teaches family improvisation classes at Jacob’s Pillow every summer and longs for more time to attend jams.
© Catherine MusinskiShamou: Shamou's music career began at an early age in his native Iran. He studied music in Tehran and performed with the Iranian National Ballet as a dancer. He moved from there to London and then to the US, continuing his formal music training at Berklee College of Music. Shamou is also known for his collaborative work with Alvin Ailey, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Co., Mark Morris Dance Company, among others. He has been a frequent provider of music/sound-scape for improv dancers at CIB, Oliver’s Jam, and Dance New England. More info about Shamou and links to some of his recordings can be found on his website: www.shamou.com.

Regarding product sales at the May Jam:
If you have items of interest to contact improv dancers (generally clothing) that you would like to sell at CIB events, please contact the organizers in advance. We have limited space available for vendors, and may not be able to say yes to everyone, so it is important you let us know well ahead of time.

• If the whole event is canceled, we will refund the entire registration fee of pre-registered participants. If we cancel an event part-way through, we will pro-rate that refund.
• If a registered participant withdraws from an event more than two weeks before the event, we will fully refund their registration fee, minus a $10 administration fee.
• If a registered participant withdraws less than two weeks before the event, no refund will be issued. Also applies to no-show, (but please let us know so we can plan better.)
• We will consider hardship situations for refunds before and during the event. Please contact the registrar.
